Welcome to my Blog!
We are so excited to finally be a part of this new communication revolution!
I would like to hear from you. If any of the songs that I have written ministered to you, let me know. It is a big encouragement for me. If you are going through some tough times, email me so I can pray for you. James 5:16
I have been traveling a lot lately with the Get Motivated Seminars as you can see from my schedule so if I am ever in your area, come to the venue and say, Hi. It would also be a good idea to take your unsaved friends to the venue because halfway through the event, they give an altar call. Isn’t that great? This is a ministry cloaked in a business seminar!
I would also like to come and minister to churches while I’m in the area so check my tour schedule and let me know if you want to bless your congregation with exciting praise and worship and encouraging messages. Email or call me at 562-489-6052 and ask for my wife, Renee.
God bless you and let’s work together and expand God’s kingdom!!!
August 18th, 2009 at 8:58 pm Dear Leon, I first heard about your song “Sing unto the Lord a new song” many years ago when I was witha choir. It has been a song that has encouraged me in my times of trial. I come from a Muslim country in South East Asia and is still staying and working in this area except that I have taken up a job in an even more suppressed country. I have shared this song with the music director and his team. They loved it as it’s such a good thing to praise the Lord!
September 2nd, 2009 at 8:28 pm When my husband first got saved almost 25 yrs. ago he didn’t care much for church sung hymns. But he loved B.J. Thomas so I introduced him to your stuff & he fell in love with it. We had the cassette that has Cornerstone, Flesh of my Flesh, Vision, Dance Children Dance on it among others. We liked the whole cassette but those songs took us through times of homelessness & unemployment shortly after we married in a personal way. It drew us closer together and gave us hope. We wore the poor tape out, bought another & wore it out too. For several years now I’ve tried to find another online as our cars still have cassette players & though I’m 53 I love to crank up my gospel music and sing along. I would so love to buy one if you should happen to still have one for sale to this aged hippie. In any event glad to know you’re still out there & growing in the Lord.
September 2nd, 2009 at 8:35 pm Btw I could use some prayer also. Both our cars are down (1982s), the microwave zapped out & we have some legal problems that should have been settled in 2000 yet still are haunting us & we can’t afford a lawyer. Also some money we’ve been owed for over a month coming in. Plus a couple of mice/rats managed to get in the house & nothing we’ve tried has gotten rid of them including our own prayers. So some “fighting on your knees” from others would be glorious.
November 29th, 2009 at 2:12 am Leon, Without going into too much detail, you have been an inspiration to me and my walk with God in so many ways and so many different times in my life. I saw a couple of your concerts YEARS ago in Branson Missour in the parking lot of Silver Dollar City and have always loved you. It is refreshing to know that you are still out there and producing music! I’m going this week to get your newest cd and hopefully some of your older ones. Please Leon, whatever you do, don’t go away. You are so on track with what God has planned for you! Everytime I listen to your music I get excited all over again. Keep it up and come to Denton, TX sometime! I would LOVE to go to a concert again. Shauna
December 13th, 2009 at 9:12 am Hi Leon I happened to run across one of your Cds when I first started to minister the gospil. The song was “Praise him” I made the whole congregation stand and praise the Lord while playing that song. Everyone was like where did you find that song. Your music since has become my favorite ever. Please pray for my ministry. And my dream is to meet you someday and I know I will.God truly has blessed your ministry. God Bless you with CLUB.
January 8th, 2010 at 3:55 am Hi Leon Patillo, When I first became a christian 26 years ago I heard your music… it really blessed me so much. You were part of a group of christian musicians like Amy Grant, Dion Di’muchi, Debby Boone and many others that made a difference in my life. I live in Sth Australia and I haven’t seen your music in the Christian Book shop for years…Maybe you should make a CD with the Best of Leon Patillo…if you haven’t already. Your songs were classics of that era - when Christian music was pure. I get very sad when I hear Christians in the media hurting the name of Jesus. Anyway Keep going for the Lord …it won’t be long till we see him face to face. Lets make our lives count. Bless you Leon…In Jesus love Sonia.

January 11th, 2010 at 4:04 pm Hey Renee and Leon, Wow! What a surprise to see you at South Shores Church yesterday. I love the report of how you met Oprah at the Ritz and gave her a cpoy of your new CD. By the way, is the CD available for sale. I couldn’t find on your site. I spoke to the worship leader at church about you coming to minister to us. We need some upbeat tunes to get this group excited. I have played a few times for the services and got a good response on tunes like “Down By the Riverside” and “Nothin But the Blood”. The people loved it but the worship leaders are very protective of their time. Having grown up in Detroit I guess I have too much of a Motown chop for some. Don’t get me wrong. They do a great job and thats what counts. I guess I’m just hungry to share my gift. I know you get it. Anyhoo,,,, Please let me know the next time you are in town so I can give you the locals tour of So. county. The “Get Motivated” events look like a great platform to reach some very influential people. Individuals the world would respect and listen to share the Gospel. Wow! Have you run that by P.J.? Hey, thanks for your time and may God bless you in doing His work. Larry, the color blind camera shader

August 19th, 2010 at 9:50 am Dear Renee and Leon I grew up listening to some of your songs such as ‘Dance Children Dance’, my parents have a couple of your albums on LP they are the same albums that I grew up with and my Dad played Dance Childrem Dance at one of my birthday parties when I was a kid, there were children there who grew up not knowing the Lord so I hope that the Lord will bring it back to them; I’m 32 years old now. I went away from the Lord when I was about 14, I got involved in the occult in later years but in January 2004 the Lord brought me back mightily. I recorded onto one audio tape some songs from one of your live albums a while ago and recently I was going through a tough time spiritually, I was battling with anger and constant tiredness and the Lord drew me to take the tape to work that day to listen to it, the enemy was trying to get me into a pit of despair with the constant battling then I heard the words “When you forget what your supposed to be doing, I hope that this little sripture will jump up and bite you in your heart” which preceded the song ‘GO!’ the Lord spoke to me through that and hope began to fill my heart again and I realised that I had taken my eyes off of the Lord, He helped me to focus again on Him because I had forgotten that I was meant to be a shining light in a dark place so I want to encourage you also that our Lord is still answering that prayer that you prayed there before that song even to this day. Many of your songs have been an encouragement to me including ‘Don’t Give In’ and ‘Rise & Be Healed’. ‘River’, ‘I Surrender’ & Praise Ye The Lord are beautiful. May the Lord bless you both and your family and keep you holy please continue to do whatever He leads you & commands you to do and may He be glorified.
